Duo Freyja is comprised of Rannveig Marta Sarc, violinist, and Svava Bernharðsdóttir, violist. They commissioned and premiered 6 duos by 6 Icelandic women at the Dark Music Days festival in Iceland in 2020. The pieces have been recorded and released on the album “Duo Freyja,” which can be found on Spotify and Apple Music. Two additional pieces have been written for the duo, which were premiered at Skálholt Summer Concerts in Iceland in 2021.
